The files show exchanges and emails that place Epstein’s attention squarely on the papacy and Vatican finances, and they even include texts between Epstein and Steve Bannon referencing plans to “take down” Pope Francis — facts the public deserves to see and understand.
Conservatives should be rawly honest about what this means: Epstein was not some eccentric hobbyist reading papal biographies for fun — he was cultivating influence and information in institutions that carry immense moral and cultural weight. The Bannon text, which reads “Will take down Francis,” reads like political theater mixed with real-world scheming, and Americans have a right to know whether operatives on the right or left were being used as instruments in that theater.
Among the most revolting revelations are the crude, mocking emails Epstein sent about Pope Francis during the 2015 U.S. visit — taunts that expose not only moral bankruptcy but also the arrogance of a man who moved in circles above ordinary accountability. These messages, exchanged as the Pope addressed Congress and the United Nations, show Epstein treating sacred institutions and public servants with contempt, reinforcing why full transparency is necessary.
The files also suggest Epstein had a pragmatic, almost transactional curiosity about Vatican finances, banking scandals, and even experiments with digital currencies tied to tiny sovereign jurisdictions — a pattern that looks less like idle curiosity and more like searching for leverage and shelter.
