Even Washington Post Admits Trump Has Conquered DC Anew

A recent report from the Washington Post is celebrating President-elect Donald Trump’s political resurrection as he gears up for his upcoming inauguration. In an unexpected admission, the Post acknowledges that Trump has already “conquered” Washington, D.C., but conveniently glosses over the formidable obstacles he overcame to secure this triumphant return.

The article highlights the stark difference between Trump’s current re-entry and his previous term. Unlike the political novice who stumbled into Washington in 2017 with little support, he is now welcomed back with open arms by corporate America. Major executives are reportedly lining up at Mar-a-Lago to connect with him, anxious to be on board with the most dynamic figure in the Republican Party, which is once again fully under his control after years of internecine warfare among GOP factions.

While the Post focuses on the rifts of the past, it fails to address the monumental hurdles Trump faced, including numerous attempts by political adversaries to sideline him entirely. From partisan witch hunts aimed at his imprisonment to financial sabotage and discrediting efforts through a biased January 6 committee, Trump had more than plenty of reasons to throw in the towel. Yet, rather than capitulate, he emerged stronger than ever—an impressive feat that the article neglects to quantify.

The inauguration situation stands in stark contrast to the chaos of January 2021, when Trump left the White House under a cloud of controversy. With his approval ratings now rising to heights not seen in years, including a recent surge to nearly 50 percent per CNN, it is evident that the American electorate is re-evaluating their sentiments toward Trump’s presidency. The report even notes the goodwill gestures emerging from Israel and Hamas, where agreements on ceasefires and hostage releases have been cited as opportunities both Trump and President Biden are eager to capitalize on.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden sits in the White House feeling “totally dejected,” as Democrat leadership remains at a loss over how Trump managed to pull off such a comeback. Their party seems fractured and floundering, unable to adapt to the electorate’s shift in sentiment. With no clear strategy for combating Trump’s powerful resurgence, any delays in confirming his cabinet nominees appear to be little more than desperate tactics rather than a formidable resistance.

As the nation prepares for Trump’s return, the political landscape is undeniably changing, leaving the Democrats scrambling for relevance. They remain unprepared to deal with a Trump-led administration and are struggling to find their footing in a political environment where the techniques that had worked for years are fast becoming stale. In short, Washington is bracing for an electrifying return of the man many had assumed was out for the count, while the left continues to flounder in the echoes of their own misguided narratives.
