Chris Tigani, a Delaware businessman, served two years in jail after he was convicted of violating the law by donating to the presidential campaign of Joe Biden. He claims that Hunter Biden is being treated differently from him.
According to Tigani, Delaware's Attorney General, Hunter Biden, has lost millions of dollars in tax revenue, which is a record for a misdemeanor offense in the state's history. Tigani served a two-year prison sentence for his own offense, and he feels that the same thing should be done to Biden.
In 2007, Beau and Hunter Biden approached Tigani to contribute $75,000 to the presidential campaign of their father, Joe Biden. The former's finance director, Dennis Toner, then urged the businessman to bundle the money into one large donation. Tigani later pleaded guilty to a felony and was sent to prison.
David Weiss, the lawyer who prosecuted Tigani, is currently leading the investigation regarding Hunter Biden. According to Tigani, the evidence shows that the Bidens aren't being persecuted. He'll be filing an amicus brief in support of his cause, urging the court to take into account the impact of Hunter Biden's lenient sentence on other people who have been incarcerated for similar offenses.

According to a survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports, many voters believe that Biden was part of a cover-up regarding his son's activities in foreign business. Republicans have also demanded an explanation from the Department of Justice regarding the handling of the plea agreement involving Hunter Biden.
It's troubling to see that the investigation regarding Hunter Biden is being conducted on the basis of the same standards that apply to other regular citizens. If the president's son is expected to be held accountable for his actions, then the same standards should also apply to everyone. The lack of transparency regarding the case has raised concerns about the Department of Justice's impartiality.
