Former Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf voiced his grave concerns about the "sheer volume" of illegal immigrants pouring across the U.S. border in a harsh indictment of the Biden administration. Surprising statistics from US Customs and Border Protection showed that during the fiscal year 2023, over 2.04 million illegal aliens were intercepted at the border between the United States and Mexico. Compared to the 1,734,686 contacts in fiscal year 2021 and the 2,378,944 encounters in fiscal year 2022, this number represents a significant rise. There is no denying how bad things are.
Reluctantly, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admitted that during fiscal year 2023, over 600,000 people avoided CBP. This statement simply fanns the flames of an already out-of-control border issue. The disconcerting statement made by Mayorkas was reported by The New York Post, prompting inquiries regarding the efficacy of the border security measures implemented by the Biden administration.
In an interview with John Roberts, co-host of "America Reports," Wolf voiced his worries. He drew attention to the reality that people are being detained at borders from nations of concern like Iran and Lebanon. He also underlined the fact that millions of people are able to avoid discovery by slipping between the gaps. The bad guys, such as Iranian spies, keep a careful eye on everything and take advantage of any chance to get into the US.

In his statement before the Senate Homeland Security Committee, Mayorkas declined to give numbers regarding the amount of undocumented immigrants that the Biden administration had released. Moreover, he refrained from revealing the quantity of those connected to terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah and Hamas that receive Iranian support. The Border Patrol had come into contact with at least 172 illegal immigrants who were on the terrorist watch list, according to startling CBP data. There is no denying the possible harm to national security.
Wolf voiced his dissatisfaction with the White House's lack of preparation and openness. He berated them for seemingly not wanting to confront the problem head-on, leaving the American people defenseless and exposed. The sheer volume of illegal immigrants crossing the border is correlated with an increase in the number of hazards to public safety, national security, and persons with ties to terrorism. This is a serious issue, and the White House's disregard for it makes matters worse.
Month after month, the situation worsens with no indication of change or all-encompassing solutions in sight. In order to safeguard their security and well-being, the people of America must be given clarity and prompt action. There has never been a stronger demand for capable leadership and efficient border security measures. There is much to be desired in the Biden administration's lack of response to these challenges.
