A group of intrepid Senate Republicans, led by the fearless duo of Steve Daines from Montana and James Lankford from Oklahoma, swooped in like superheroes to save the day by sending a sternly-worded letter to the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS). This league of extraordinary senators, consisting of seven other Republican crusaders, unleashed their fury upon a proposed rule that would make it easier for unaccompanied minors at the border to access abortions. The Daily Caller, always the first to uncover the hidden truths, obtained a copy of this epic letter.

The Republicans’ ire was directed at the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and their proposed “Unaccompanied Children Program Foundational Rule,” which they claim is a heinous violation of taxpayer rights. Instead of treating these young, vulnerable mothers with the respect they deserve, HHS ORR has chosen to enshrine these violations of the Hyde Amendment in their rule. It’s quite clear that HHS ORR has gone rogue, defying the law and ignoring Congressional inquiries and warnings.
Adding fuel to the fire, it seems that President Joe Biden’s reign has witnessed a staggering 8 million illegal border crossings, equivalent to the entire population of New York City. Not only that, but there have been 6.3 million encounters and over 1.7 million “got-aways” since Biden took the oath of office. The red-hot question now is: how many pregnant, unaccompanied migrant girls are currently in the clutches of HHS? The answer remains as elusive as a Bigfoot sighting.
In their valiant quest for justice, Senators Roger Marshall from Kansas, Cindy Hyde-Smith from Mississippi, Joni Ernst from Iowa, Mike Braun from Indiana, Rick Scott from Florida, Josh Hawley from Missouri, and Ted Cruz from Texas joined Daines and Lankford in signing this epic letter. These noble warriors demand that any final rule regarding the care of these unaccompanied minors should respect state laws protecting unborn life, cherish our sacred federal conscience and religious freedom protections, and ensure that no HHS policies prioritize abortions over taking care of these young souls or, you know, following the law. The Daily Caller reached out to HHS for comment, but the agency was apparently too busy fighting some other imaginary crisis to respond.
