The Oversight Committee’s statement goes even further, suggesting that President Biden, his legal team, and other White House officials purposefully concealed months of communications, planning, and coordination related to these documents. What were they trying to hide? It turns out that the individuals involved in this mishandling included multiple White House officials, a former VP staffer, employees from the Penn Biden Center, and even President Biden’s personal attorneys. The question that arises is why so much effort was put into retrieving what were supposedly just personal documents and materials. It seems highly suspicious.
But that’s not all. The Oversight Committee’s statement also raises concerns about the Biden Administration’s secret nuclear negotiations with Iran. It appears that the administration may have been hiding important details about these negotiations from Congress, which is not only troubling but potentially a violation of statutory obligations for congressional oversight. The National Archives and Records Administration found a startling amount of emails exchanged between Biden and various individuals and businesses associated with him and his family. They point out that the National Archives’ findings show that Biden’s VP Office exchanged emails with Hunter Biden, his brother Jim, and their “businesses” over 29,000 times. President Biden has sat for an interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur as part of the ongoing investigation. The White House has framed this as proof of Biden’s cooperation, but the federal investigation into his handling of classified documents has been notably slow-developing compared to investigations into other political figures.
