In a shockingly sneaky move, a former consultant for Rep. Dean Phillips’s 2024 campaign has been exposed as the mastermind behind a deceitful robocall aiming to dissuade New Hampshire Democrats from supporting the incumbent in the state’s primary. The consultant, Steve Kramer, who was paid a hefty sum of over $250,000 by the Phillips campaign, shamelessly admitted to using artificial intelligence to emulate President Joe Biden’s voice in the disturbing robocall.
Phillips’s campaign, caught red-handed, attempted to distance themselves from the scandal by claiming to have reluctantly hired Kramer to surmount so-called “absurd and artificial barriers” to gain access to state ballots. However, their feeble excuse falls flat in the face of such devious and underhanded tactics.
Moreover, the Federal Communications Commission ruled unequivocally that using AI to fabricate voices in robocalls is absolutely illegal after this incident. Yet, remarkably, no penalty has been announced against Kramer. It seems as though the Democrats are once again trying to skirt accountability for their malicious actions.
It is truly astonishing that a man who claims to stand for the values of competition, choice, and democracy would stoop to such despicable measures. Phillips’s disingenuous statement and weak attempts to distance himself from the debacle only serve to highlight the lack of integrity within the Democratic camp.
Let us not forget that this is not the first time that Democrats have resorted to such shameful tactics. The FCC had previously imposed a hefty fine against controversial conservative activists Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman for a similar voter suppression scam, which targeted black voters and spread false information about public databases and outstanding debts. The pattern of deceit and voter manipulation within the Democratic camp is truly alarming.
It is clear that Phillips and his cronies will stop at nothing to secure their grip on power, even if it means resorting to deceitful and illegal tactics. The American people deserve honesty, transparency, and integrity from their elected representatives, not underhanded schemes and fraudulent tricks. It is high time for the public to see through the Democrats’ facade and demand accountability for their appalling actions.
