A fact check, nevertheless, has established that this assertion is untrue. The deceptive caption suggests that the United States forces are actively involved in the conflict zone, contrary to the Iranian Foreign Minister's assertions, as reported by the IRNA Agency. The Hill reports that Vice President Harris has stated that the United States has no intention of deploying troops to Israel or Gaza.
In 2009, the ubiquitous image was captured during Juniper Cobra, a cooperative military exercise between the United States and Israel. The purpose of this biennial exercise is to improve the synchronization and harmonization of defensive systems between the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and the United States. Since then, the account that initially published the image has maintained its neutrality regarding the ongoing situation in the Middle East.
