FBI Flies Juneteenth Flag: Celebrating Freedom or Pushing Leftist Agendas?

The FBI has once again proven to be a stalwart defender of freedom and justice, proudly displaying the Juneteenth flag outside its Washington D.C. headquarters over the weekend. This move is a celebration of freedom and an inspiring reminder that the work is never done when it comes to protecting the rights of all Americans.

The Juneteenth flag was designed by an activist from Boston, Ben Haith, with the present version updated in the year 2000. The flag uses the colors of the American Flag, red, white and blue, and features a lone star, reminiscent of the flag of Texas. It was in Texas that Juneteenth celebrations first originated, commemorating the emancipation of slaves in 1865.

Haith believes that the rising star symbolizes a “new day of freedom” for black Americans, and an “awakening” to the fact that young people are the future generation that will carry the torch of freedom.

The FBI has joined numerous municipalities across the country, including Richmond, Cedar Rapids, Durham, among others, in displaying the flag outside their government buildings.

However, some municipalities, like Dallas and Albany, have chosen to raise the “black liberation” flag, which carries a vastly different meaning from the Juneteenth flag. This flag was designed by Marcus Garvey in the 1920s and is also known as the Pan-African Flag. In Albany, the flag will be raised in front of City Hall as part of the Juneteenth celebrations.

Democrats like Cori Bush of Missouri have taken this holiday as an opportunity to push their political agenda by demanding reparations, ending police violence and the war on drugs, and ending housing and education apartheid, all under the guise of “black liberation.”

While American conservatives recognize the importance of Juneteenth in ending the abominable practice of slavery, they also believe that the holiday should not be hijacked to push a leftist political agenda. This holiday is about celebrating the triumph over slavery and the progress made towards a more perfect union, not about pushing divisive and harmful ideologies.
