House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has accused the FBI of possessing more investigative documents that implicate President Joe Biden in a bribery scandal. In an interview with Fox News, Comer criticized the Bureau for slowing down its investigation into the Biden family and their business dealings in Ukraine. He suggested that the FBI had deliberately withheld more documents from the public that were referenced in the FD1023 form, which contained claims made by a whistleblower who alleged that during his time as Vice President, Biden received a bribe valued between $5 million and $10 million to facilitate his family’s business dealings in Ukraine. It’s worth noting that President Biden has denied these allegations.
Comer, who recently cancelled a vote to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt, claimed that there were likely more FD1023 forms containing more evidence of bribery linked to the Biden family. “There are a lot more of these than what the federal government wants to admit, and the question is, why hasn’t the federal government done anything about it?”, he said.
Comer also revealed that he had accessed Hunter Biden’s emails, which showed that he had kept his father’s administration informed about his business activities. This development raises questions about President Biden’s claim that he was unaware of his son’s business ventures in Ukraine. It is concerning that at least nine members of the Biden family profited from business dealings on behalf of foreign companies and may have required them to register as foreign agents, a step which was never taken.
The FBI’s failure to act on these serious allegations is deeply troubling and raises concerns about their impartiality. As Comer remarked, “It appears the only entity in the world that’s investigating it is the House Oversight Committee.” It’s time for the FBI to stop dragging its feet and to investigate these serious allegations of corruption involving the Biden family and their business dealings in Ukraine.
