The continual attacks on President Trump’s leadership are no surprise for those of us who have observed the judiciary’s blatant obstructionism. This time, a federal judge has decided to play politics instead of respecting the nation’s need to deal with illegal immigration. The administration is facing contempt proceedings simply for doing its job—protecting the American people from dangerous illegal immigrants. These are Venezuelan gang members, not innocent day laborers chasing the American Dream. Prior to his sabotaging the administration’s rightful actions, the Supreme Court had already given a clear green light. It’s evident, the legal messiness is less about justice and more about derailing Trump’s immigration policies.
Judge James Boasberg’s actions reek of anti-Trump sentiment. By ignoring decisions higher than his, Boasberg attempts to flaunt his disdain. It’s laughable, really. The judge wants us to believe he stands for constitutional order, yet he outright dismisses a Supreme Court ruling! Who is he to defy the highest court in the land just to embarrass a sitting president? The judge seems to forget his oath when he takes aim at the executive branch with veiled accusations.
