Jamaal Bowman, the infamous fire alarm puller in the Capitol Building, has now taken it upon himself to spread gross antisemitic lies about Israel. Appearing on MSNBC, Bowman claimed that Israel discriminates against people at checkpoints based on their religion. This is a patently false statement and just another example of the tired and baseless antisemitic trope that Israel is an “apartheid state.”

In reality, Israel’s population is 20 percent Arab, and they have all the same rights and freedom of movement as Jewish citizens. It’s disappointing, but not surprising, to see MSNBC host Alex Wagner just nodding along and not challenging Bowman’s false claims. This kind of rhetoric only fuels hatred and division, and it’s a shame that a member of Congress feels comfortable spreading such lies without any consequence.
But that’s not all! Bowman also took the opportunity to trash Joe Biden, accusing him of losing black support because of a lack of federal government payoffs. It’s truly remarkable how shameless Bowman is in everything he says. He’s pushing for reparations, which is a harmful and divisive policy, and yet he has the audacity to criticize Biden for not giving handouts. This kind of entitlement mentality is exactly what holds people back.
Instead of perpetuating dependency, we should be focusing on promoting personal responsibility and empowering individuals to succeed on their own merit. Bowman’s comments are just another example of the far-left’s desire for big government control and handouts instead of promoting individual freedom and opportunity. The fact that he can say these things without any pushback or criticism is a sad reflection on the state of our politics today.
