The senator has been actively posting on TikTok, sharing a total of five videos since Saturday. In one of his clips, he expressed his eagerness to connect with his followers and emphasized his dedication to standing up to special interest groups and fighting for the people of Ohio.
Brown’s sudden openness to using TikTok is quite the plot twist, especially in light of the ongoing discussions in Congress and some states about banning the app altogether. A federal judge in Texas even upheld a law preventing state employees from using TikTok on government devices. And let’s not forget TikTok’s owner, ByteDance, being under investigation for potentially spying on American citizens.
The senator’s TikTok escapades have sparked cries of hypocrisy from the other side of the aisle. Republicans are calling out Brown for his apparent flip-flopping, highlighting his past statements on financial transparency, tax increases, and even his own property tax issues.
