Florida AG Slams Zuckerberg: Fight Pedophiles, Not Elon Musk!

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is not holding back when it comes to demanding answers from Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta platforms. Recent reports have revealed that pedophiles are using Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta platforms to sexually exploit children, and Moody wants to know what preventative measures Zuckerberg is taking to combat this horrific issue. Moody took a moment to mock Zuckerberg’s acceptance of Elon Musk’s cage-match challenge before getting down to business. She believes that instead of wasting time on PR stunts, Zuckerberg should be prioritizing the safety of Meta’s existing platforms.

Moody’s office conducted a survey that showed that Meta platforms are the preferred social media applications for human traffickers. More than half of all reported instances of social media platform use in Florida trafficking cases since 2019 involved Meta platforms. Furthermore, a federal report found that Facebook was the top platform used in the recruitment of human trafficking victims from 2019 to 2022. It’s clear that Meta platforms have become hotspots for exploitation and abuse.

In response to Moody’s demands, a Meta spokesperson claimed that the company prohibits all forms of human exploitation and works aggressively to fight these crimes. However, I find it hard to believe that Meta is truly committed to combating sex trafficking when they have demonstrated a consistent bias against conservative content. Zuckerberg has been more concerned with suppressing conservative voices and censoring information that challenges Democrat narratives than addressing the real issues on his platforms.

While Meta claims to be working with law enforcement and state attorneys general, it remains to be seen if Zuckerberg will actually respond to Moody’s letter and, more importantly, respond truthfully. It’s not enough to claim that they are addressing the issue; Meta needs to prove it through action and transparency.

In conclusion, it’s important to note that I’m not suggesting Meta intentionally supports or condones human trafficking. However, considering how effective their algorithms have been in suppressing conservative content, one would think they could use the same technology to target traffickers. It’s time for Meta and Zuckerberg to prioritize the safety of their users and take real action to combat the exploitation happening on their platforms.
