After the controversial firing of popular host Tucker Carlson, Fox News seems to be going through some big changes on the inside. Chadwick Moore, a media expert and biographer, went on Twitter to talk about the network's new rules and how they are affecting its workers.

Moore's tweets say that current U.S. Senators are no longer allowed to appear on Fox News if they have spoken out in support of Tucker Carlson after he was fired. Fox News's heavy-handed move has made many Republicans angry and made them wonder how much the network cares about free speech and fair discussion. Even politicians don't seem to be safe from the network's anger.
EXCLUSIVE: Sources inside Fox have confirmed to me that Fox News has banned sitting members of the U.S. Senate from appearing on the network if that Senator has publicly defended @TuckerCarlson in the aftermath of his cancellation. More to come…

EXCLUSIVE: According to a current senior producer at Fox News there are company-wide layoffs happening right now that no one is reporting on. “Morale miserable across teams on both news and opinion,” the producer says.
Producers are also feeling “insulted” about getting 0 or 1%…

But there's more. The programming team for the network is also having a hard time with confidence. As cuts have hit the staff, many workers are said to have only gotten small pay raises of 0 or 1%. To make things even worse, it has come to light that Abby Grossberg, a key player in Carlson's exit, got a huge payment of $12 million. This obvious difference in money has made workers feel underpaid and down.
Moore also says that the people who are "blacklisted" or "unblacklisted" as guests on the network have changed all the time. This confusing and contradictory direction from Fox News leaders is causing chaos and misunderstanding in the network. It's clear that Fox News is having trouble keeping its message consistent and is grabbing at straws to try to control the story.
Moore says that Fox News fired Carlson at the last minute in May, just as the network was getting ready for a trial over plagiarism claims about Dominion Voting Systems and the 2020 election. The network decided to pay a huge settlement of $787 million and cut ties with Carlson right away. Because of this, conservative viewers feel misled and wonder if the network is still true to its own values.
Since Carlson left, many of his friends and old coworkers have followed him to his new job. Former producer Alex McCaskill and other Fox News workers have left the network to work with Carlson on his Twitter show. The fact that so many Fox News employees are leaving shows that they no longer trust or care about the company.
Because of this, Fox News has had to deal with a lot of problems. Three million people used to watch the network at 8 p.m., but now only a small part of that number does. In an effort to fix the problem, Suzanne Scott, the CEO of Fox, recently released a new lineup with the same anchors but different times. But it's not clear yet if this reorganization will be enough to stop the loss.
In the end, Tucker Carlson's controversial firing has caused a lot of trouble at Fox News. Both workers and watchers have lost trust and morale because of the network's harsh actions, uneven finances, and sloppy decision-making. It remains to be seen if Fox News can get over this mistake and win back the trust of its right viewers.
