Fox News Prepares Ironclad Strategy for Trump’s 2020 Election Comments

In a show of readiness, Fox News anchor Bret Baier has expressed the network’s preparedness to handle any potential issues raised by former President Donald Trump regarding the integrity of the 2020 election during his upcoming town hall in Iowa. Scheduled for Wednesday night, the event is the third in a series of Republican presidential primary town halls hosted by Fox this week in Des Moines.

The previous two town halls featured former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The upcoming town hall will be co-moderated by Baier and “The Story” anchor Martha MacCallum. Taking place just days before the Iowa caucuses, the event is set to air at 9 p.m. Eastern time. According to The New York Times, Trump’s town hall appearance will be the first time he has been live on Fox News since April 2022.

Although he has appeared in pretaped interviews on the network, including one with Baier in June 2023 and multiple appearances on “Hannity,” the Times reported that Trump has been spending less time watching Fox News and is instead turning to other outlets like Newsmax. However, he still remains a fan of Fox hosts Sean Hannity, Jesse Watters, and Maria Bartiromo, according to the Times.
