California Governor Gavin Newsom is throwing a fit. His fuse was lit when eight Senators dared to join Republicans to end the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. He can’t handle that some Democrats actually decided to prioritize the American people over political games. People are sick of this never-ending shutdown drama that only hurts hard-working families. Quit using them as pawns!
Newsom paints himself as Trump’s arch-nemesis, but his outrage over the funding bill is laughable. He’s stuck in the past with his tired old playbook while Trump rewrites the rules. Instead of spinning rhetoric at globalist gatherings like the COP30 UN Climate Conference in Brazil, these Senators took action. How refreshing to see politicians stand up against party pressure for the real needs of American citizens, like the 42 million relying on SNAP just to put food on the table.

What’s truly “stunning” is Newsom’s utter naivety. The people are not fooled by his act. He’s more interested in lining himself up for a 2028 presidential run than in addressing immediate American issues. While he fancies himself the savior of the Democratic Party, real change-makers are in Washington showing what it means to truly serve the people. If that means siding with Republicans to get things done, then so be it!
Americans shouldn’t be tools in a political power struggle. Newsom’s whining about his Senators reflects a classic case of elite disconnect. Instead of tossing stones from his Sacramento tower or whining at global climate galas, he should thank those Democrats willing to put the nation’s needs first. It’s time to stop casting Trump as a monster and start seeing who’s really trying to make America work again.
Isn’t it time Newsom stopped the grandstanding and started acting like he cared about the future of this country? Or will he continue to turn his nose up at any progress, just to score cheap political points? We all know the answer, but does he?
