Gavin Newsom, the governor who thinks he can save the world by turning California into a socialist paradise, is clearly making a play for the presidency. He might insist otherwise, but his recent speech was basically a campaign ad. He painted a dire picture of immigrant treatment, ignoring the fact that California is a haven for illegal aliens. This state practically rolls out the red carpet with tax-funded benefits. Yet Newsom cries foul when it comes to realistic immigration enforcement, the very issue that got Donald Trump elected. Democrats love to bend the truth as long as it fits their liberal agenda.
Newsom expects to gain sympathy for protests in Los Angeles that he claims were peaceful until the National Guard was involved. This is classic leftist history revisionism. Footage exists of anarchists wreaking havoc long before the Guard arrived. The claim that Trump’s actions sparked the violence is nothing but smoke and mirrors. Newsom, like the rest of his party, seems to live in an alternate universe where facts don’t matter, only the narrative does.
The governor preaches about the plight of illegal immigrants nabbed in raids, those with jobs like dishwashers and gardeners. He doesn’t mention that they’re here illegally, nor does he care. He ignores the fact that it’s unfair to American workers who suffer job losses due to this unchecked flow of cheap labor. Despite what Democrats say, it’s not about racism; it’s about fairness and the economic toll this takes on our own citizens.
Newsom apparently believes that blaming others and crying foul play will earn him the presidency. He underestimates Americans who are tired of elite politicians making decisions that hurt everyday people. Sixty percent support using the National Guard in places like LA, and more than half agree with deportations. Newsom forgets that most Americans don’t fall for his woke posturing.
As liberal judges attempt to block the administration at every turn, the divide between the elites and the working class grows. The question remains: Do we want a leader who manipulates the truth to serve a radical leftist agenda, or do we return to common sense and put America first?
