Somehow, George Clooney now thinks he’s the arbiter of what’s good for America. The Hollywood has-been recently spent an inordinate amount of time penning an op-ed in The New York Times, praising President Biden while paradoxically insisting that the 81-year-old should step aside. Sure, Clooney, because the guy who starred in “Batman & Robin” definitely has the pulse of the nation.
Donald Trump wasted no time dismantling the fantasyland critique courtesy of Clooney. He took to Truth Social to remind everyone that Clooney, who imagines himself a modern-day statesman, couldn’t recognize a great movie, let alone offer substantial political insights. In Trump’s view, Clooney and Biden are two peas in a pod—perfect for each other in their irrelevance.
In his op-ed, Clooney rambled on about how Biden’s not aging like fine wine but more like milk forgotten on the counter. Despite declaring his undying affection for Biden—who he hilariously claims has battled valiantly in his presidency—Clooney stumbles upon the inconvenient truth that Father Time is undefeated. A heartwarming tale of a Hollywood liberal realizing his political hero is past his prime, and somehow that’s supposed to be groundbreaking journalism.

Meanwhile, Trump swiftly cut through those star-studded delusions. He listed the actual “accomplishments” of Biden’s presidency: high inflation, the Afghanistan debacle, and an open border policy that looks more like a global casting call for criminals. According to Trump, far from saving democracy, Biden is the captain of a sinking ship, steering straight for disaster.
In what could only be described as poetic, Trump suggested Clooney should retreat to the small screen, claiming movies never worked out for the actor. Despite Clooney’s Oscar nominations and wins, it appears Hollywood’s elite are now as confused in their roles off-screen as they are in them.
Clooney is just the latest Democrat star to jump on the “replace Biden” train, joining a reluctant chorus who are slowly acknowledging the obvious. Yet, the Biden campaign insists on soldiering on, ignoring the mounting evidence and dissent within their own camp. Not even the glamorous glow of Tinseltown can mask the growing cracks in the Democratic facade.
