Former Republican congressman George Santos has revived his drag queen persona, Kitara Ravache, on the Cameo platform. In a video posted on Cameo's Instagram account, Santos announced his return as Kitara, saying he was back after 18 years of keeping this part of his life “in the closet.”
In the video, the 35-year-old former lawmaker wore a brown wig, fake eyelashes, eye shadow, foundation, red lipstick, and a vibrant red feather boa. He brought a playful energy to his performance, encouraging his viewers to enliven their dance parties and add some “zhush” to their lives.

Cameo is a service where people can pay for personalized messages from celebrities. Santos' videos on the platform are priced at $300 each. He previously donned a Santa Claus outfit, calling himself “Santos-Claus,” to create customized videos for $500 each after his expulsion from the House of Representatives in December.
In a recent podcast interview, Santos explained that his experience in drag was limited to some amateur performances at 18 years old. While he enjoys drag shows, he stated his disapproval of drag queen story hours for children, saying, “I don’t like drag queens for kids.”
Despite his return to public life through Cameo, Santos remains involved in politics. After leaving the Republican Party, he announced plans to run as an independent for his former House seat. However, he later withdrew his independent bid and endorsed Republican candidate Bill Cotter instead.
Bill Cotter, who has gained recognition as "Billy Football" from Barstool Sports, has encountered some resistance from the New York Republican Party in his campaign for the congressional seat in District Three. The Republican primary for the seat is set for June 25, 2024.
Santos closed his latest Cameo video with a challenge to his viewers to "stop being boring," indicating his continued enthusiasm for entertainment and self-expression.
