The double standards of the American Left are on full display yet again, leaving conservatives shaking their heads in disbelief. When Charlie Kirk, a tireless conservative advocate, was tragically taken down by a left-wing activist, the response from the so-called champions of free speech and human rights was deafening silence. No outcry. No grand gestures. Apparently, the outrage industry takes the day off when the victim is on the wrong side of their political aisle. For years, Democrats have claimed the moral high ground, but when it counts, their so-called principles seem to vanish into thin air.
Meanwhile, the mainstream media circus is as lively as ever, and nowhere is this more obvious than in the fallout from Jimmy Kimmel’s latest blunder. Despite routinely ridiculing conservatives and spreading misinformation about guests—like labeling Tyler Robinson as a “MAGA gang” member when evidence pointed to left-wing sympathies—Kimmel finds himself facing the consequences of his own reckless commentary. Now, the very liberals who celebrated cancel culture and the deplatforming of conservative voices are marching in lockstep to defend one of their own. Progressive bigwigs like Governor J.B. Pritzker, Van Jones, and Wanda Sykes are suddenly free speech purists, conveniently forgetting their past efforts to silence dissent.
This selective outrage is striking. Why is it that when a conservative is attacked, their ideological opponents have nothing to say, but when a liberal comedian is held accountable, the streets fill with protest? The hypocrisy couldn’t be clearer. It’s the same playbook—demanding tolerance only when it suits the cause and rushing to shut down opposing viewpoints whenever possible. The Left is quick to wield the hammer of censorship, but when one of their own is caught in the storm, they demand due process, leniency, and, most of all, a microphone.
All the while, regulatory gatekeepers and media watchdogs like the FCC look the other way—paralyzed, indifferent, or simply uninterested in holding the media establishment accountable. Conservative voices know too well that expecting fairness in this climate is a fool’s errand. The rules simply don’t apply equally.
At the end of the day, the farcical parade marches on. What the American public is witnessing isn’t justice or principled advocacy—it’s political theater, pure and simple. But conservatives aren’t fooled: they see that the outrage is selective, the standards are double, and the hypocrisy is limitless. The only thing left is to keep calling out this nonsense, because if Americans don’t, who will?
