Two Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and Andrea “Shaye” Moss, who recently won a $148 million defamation lawsuit against former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, are taking legal action against him again. This time, they’re seeking a permanent injunction in federal court to stop Giuliani from publicly speaking about them. The workers claim that Giuliani is continuing to spread lies about them, despite the court ruling against him. They argue that Giuliani’s persistent defamation and harassment campaign must come to an end.

Giuliani, in response to the initial judgment, declared that he would fight the case “until I die” and asserted that “everything I said about them is true.” He criticized the court’s decision, stating that it was absurd and unjust, and insinuated that the legal challenges are part of a larger effort to intimidate lawyers and supporters of former President Trump.
In their new complaint, Freeman and Moss are asking for Giuliani to cover their attorney and court fees and seeking damages for the harm caused by Giuliani’s defamation. They argue that the ongoing false statements made by Giuliani have led to personal humiliation, mental anguish, emotional distress, and lost earnings for them.
The workers’ attorneys emphasized the need for a targeted injunction to prevent Giuliani from perpetuating his defamatory remarks. They are determined to hold Giuliani accountable and put an end to his damaging claims.
Giuliani’s camp has not responded to the latest legal action taken by Freeman and Moss. The ongoing legal battle between the two sides reflects the intense political division and the contentious aftermath of the 2020 presidential election.
