Republican Congressman Mike Collins of Georgia delivered the blunt perspective many were probably thinking after the audacious assault on former President Donald Trump. In typical no-nonsense fashion, Collins held President Joe Biden, the Democrats, the left-wing media, and all their cohorts accountable for creating the caustic atmosphere that led to the attack on Trump.
The congressman didn’t stop at blaming the shooter, no sir. Collins and a chorus of his Republican colleagues made it crystal clear that the incendiary rhetoric championed by the Biden administration and their enablers has been the kindling for this heinous act. For example, Biden’s remark on July 8, where he declared his mission to beat Trump and ominously suggested putting Trump in a “bullseye,” was not lost on anyone with a functioning brain cell.
One would have to be dangerously naive to believe Biden’s word choice was accidental. His statement wasn’t just divisive; it handed a mentally unstable individual the validation to escalate from rabid Twitter rants to actual violence. And let’s be honest—Biden and his cronies have been laying down this breadcrumb trail for years.
After the shooting on Saturday, Collins wasted no time in pushing back against Biden. In a fiery post on X, he declared Biden responsible for inciting the violence, turning up the heat on a controversy that President Biden himself has stoked incessantly. And Collins isn’t singing solo; no fewer than eight Republican lawmakers and nearly two dozen others have backed the sentiment, pointing fingers squarely at Biden and his army of Trump critics for fueling the deadly animosity.
Ohio’s J.D. Vance, a rising star and potential VP pick for Trump, joined Collins in the online fray, emphasizing that this attack isn’t an isolated incident. Vance called out the Biden campaign’s framing of Trump as a dictator needing to be stopped at all costs, suggesting that this narrative led directly to the attempt on Trump’s life.

Senator Rick Scott from Florida reiterated the right’s perspective on the shooting. He emphasized how the left has vilified Trump, calling him everything from fascist to dictator, and remarking how Biden’s recent comments about putting Trump in the “crosshairs” only added fuel to an already raging fire.
Political violence has reached a fever pitch, and it’s high time the left, including their media henchmen, own up to their part in this escalation. Yet, amidst this chaos, it’s crucial Republicans don’t mimic the left’s antics. Instead, they should focus on leading the country out of this quagmire.
President Trump’s near-miss wasn’t just another news event; it was a wake-up call. Republicans must focus on restoring sanity and securing a monumental victory in 2024 by putting Trump back where he belongs—in the White House. It’s the ultimate form of justice and the boldest message they can send in these tumultuous times.
