Rumor has it that Republican governors across the nation are rolling up their sleeves and preparing to team up with President-elect Donald Trump for the biggest deportation effort ever attempted in American history. If the GOP is known for anything, it’s taking action, and this time it’s focusing on illegal aliens who have been wreaking havoc in American communities.
At the forefront of this initiative is Thomas Homan, the former head of ICE, who has been tapped by Trump to spearhead this monumental deportation operation. Homan’s game plan prioritizes the removal of convicted criminal illegal immigrants, which seems like a no-brainer; after all, why would any nation want to keep people engaged in crime when they can simply give them a one-way ticket out of the country?
I am proud to lead my fellow Republican governors in supporting President Trump's commitment to address the illegal immigration crisis and deport illegal immigrants who threaten our communities and national security. We stand ready to support him in this vital mission. pic.twitter.com/4x0Hi4dLgJ

Leading the charge is South Carolina’s own Governor Henry McMaster, who, along with his fellow Republican governors, has recently expressed their enthusiastic support for Trump’s efforts. These governors have reaffirmed their commitment to taking back control over immigration policies that were more about open doors than open conversations. Their united stance highlights a strong willingness to tackle the illegal immigration crisis head-on.
In a bold statement, the Republican governors articulated their resolve to not only remove dangerous criminals but to also uphold the rule of law and protect American citizens. There’s a recognition within these states that the illegal immigrants who engage in crime are a direct threat to public safety and national security. By harnessing the power of local law enforcement as well as mobilizing the National Guard if necessary, these governors are pulling out all the stops to restore order and safety to their communities.
Meanwhile, the contrast with the past administration is as clear as day. Under Biden, the deportation numbers have plummeted, falling to a staggering low of fewer than 132,000 on average. In complete contrast, Trump’s leadership and policies aimed to tackle the issue without hesitation. While estimates suggest that the number of illegal aliens in the U.S. could be anywhere from 11 to 22 million, it’s high time for decisive action to start reversing this trend. After all, making America safe again isn’t just a slogan—it’s a commitment some governors are ready to turn into reality.
