In a bold move by House Republicans, plans have been announced to hold a meeting next week to discuss holding Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress for snubbing a lawful subpoena to testify about his shady business deals. The House Oversight Committee has a sit-down scheduled for January 10th to weigh the possibility of slapping Hunter with this criminal charge, which could mean a hefty fine of $100,000 and possibly some cozy time in the slammer for one to twelve months. Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) has been leading the charge, alleging that Hunter may have used his daddy’s name to strong-arm foreign companies into lucrative business ventures with him and his pals, like Devon Archer.

Ahead of the hearing, Hunter’s lawyer fired off a letter demanding that his testimony be public, a request that was later granted by GOP members, though they insisted the initial testimony be behind closed doors. The day of the expected testimony turned into a circus when Hunter showed up outside Congress, accusing Comer and other top Republicans, like Rudy Giuliani and Steve Bannon, of plastering his naked pics everywhere and tarnishing his name with their constant calls for a thorough investigation.
If he ends up being charged, this wouldn’t be Hunter’s first rodeo with the law. He’s already faced two cases brought by the Biden Justice Department special counsel David Weiss, who hit him with a bunch of tax evasion charges and one big fat lie about his drug use to buy a gun. President Biden has vehemently denied any involvement in Hunter’s sketchy deals, even brushing off the “shake-down” messages his son sent to a Chinese businessman mentioning the “big man,” which some folks, like Rep. Comer, think was Hunter cashing in on his dad’s VP status. The White House has even gone as far as sending out a memo to the media, encouraging them to call out the Republicans’ “lies” about the Biden gang.
Insiders at the White House spill the tea that Hunter’s legal mess has totally taken over the president, making him lose his cool and even regret running for a second term.
