This wasn’t the first time the congresswoman had been targeted in such a sinister way. In fact, she had been subjected to this dangerous joke multiple times recently. With her characteristic resilience, Greene took to Twitter to express her frustration and gratitude for her local law enforcement while celebrating the joyous occasion with her family.

Greene didn’t hold back in her criticism of the handling of these threats. She boldly spoke out against the FBI, citing their failure to apprehend those responsible for the swatting calls despite their vast resources and capabilities.
The malicious nature of swatting was not lost on Greene. This dangerous prank, which involves falsely reporting a serious incident to emergency services to prompt an excessive police or SWAT team response, has unfortunately become a tool used against politicians. Even Rep. Brandon Williams (R-TX) fell victim to a similar swatting incident. Not only does this deplorable act waste law enforcement resources, but it also has the potential to result in grave consequences for offenders. Greene pointed out a tragic case in 2017 where a swatting incident led to a fatal shooting, resulting in the perpetrator being sentenced to 20 years in prison.
In the face of such adversity, Greene displayed true leadership by announcing her plan to introduce legislation designed to crack down on swatting. Her unwavering determination and commitment to justice were evident as she reassured her supporters that she would never cease fighting for what is right and always prioritize America.
