Marjorie Taylor Greene, a fiery conservative Republican, recently made headlines with her bold statement about former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley potentially starting World War III if she were to become president. Greene didn’t mince words when she took to Twitter to express her opinion, calling Haley the “worst candidate on the stage” and suggesting that she would ignite a global conflict on her first day in office.

While the Republican Party seems divided on the issue of the Ukraine war, Haley has made her position clear. In a Wall Street Journal Op-Ed, she criticized the Biden administration for not providing enough support to Ukraine, stating that it would only embolden China. She argued that the U.S. should not turn a blind eye to Ukraine and prioritize its relationship with China, as it would ultimately benefit the Chinese government.

Greene, on the other hand, vehemently opposes any involvement in the Ukraine conflict. She argues that America’s border security is of greater importance to its citizens than Ukraine’s territorial disputes. In a bold statement on social media, she took a swipe at Democrats, “RINOs” (which apparently stands for “Republicans In Name Only,” with Mitt Romney being one of the “losers”), and the media for not prioritizing America’s border concerns.
Interestingly, Haley herself has also taken aim at former President Donald Trump’s claims that he could end the Ukraine war in a day, calling it “ridiculous.” In a recent interview, she emphasized the need for a realistic approach to the conflict, focusing on strengthening alliances and standing firm against Russian aggression.
It’s clear that Greene and Haley have diverging views on the Ukraine war and how it should be addressed. While Greene is staunchly against any involvement, Haley believes in taking a strong stance to counter Russian aggression. Only time will tell whose approach will prevail in the Republican Party and the broader political landscape.
