Some news outlets, such as the left-wing media, may question the cause of Epstein's death, but the inspector general of the Department of Justice did not find evidence of suicide. His donations to various institutions, including liberal philanthropists and Democrats, have been stopped since allegations of sexual abuse and human trafficking emerged. Due to the report's release, Epstein's victims have been denied the right to seek justice.
The report by Fox News stated that the prison and its leaders exhibited a variety of failures, including the failure of the management and staff to perform their duties properly. The failure of the surveillance system also led to the unauthorized phone call made by Epstein on August 9.
On the night of August 10, the guards failed to carry out regular rounds or complete inmate headcounts. Around 6:30 a.m., they found Epstein hanging in his cell. According to the report, he was alone at that time, and he was not monitored because his cellmate had been taken away from him.
Following the death of Epstein, various media outlets sought access to documents and footage that could provide them with valuable information about the last moments of the philanthropist. Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson noted that the New York Police Department deleted 911 calls related to the incident before they left the station.
Authorities had known about Epstein's criminal activities for a long time. He was able to avoid going to prison by reaching a plea deal, which was over a decade earlier. He also advised the US Virgin Islands' government on how it should update its sex offender laws. It seems that justice had been delayed, but it has now been served.
