In a stunning indictment against former President Donald Trump, it seems that even a grand jury could indict a ham sandwich. This latest move raises serious questions about the state of our justice system and the way in which it is being weaponized against conservatives.

It is clear that what was once protected under the Constitution, such as questioning election results or encouraging voter engagement, is now considered conspiratorial behavior. The laundry list of charges brought against Trump and his allies begs the question: If claiming an election is stolen makes you a criminal in Georgia, why isn’t Democrat election-denier Stacey Abrams, a two-time gubernatorial sore-loser, behind bars?

Let’s take a closer look at Abrams’ track record. In 2018, she lost the governor’s race to Brian Kemp by a narrow margin and instead of gracefully conceding defeat, she embarked on a campaign to undermine the legitimacy of the election. She appeared on national television, claiming that the election was “tainted” and suggesting deliberate interference and voter disenfranchisement.
Even after her post-election legal battles failed to change the outcome, Abrams refused to formally concede, declaring that “democracy failed” and filing a federal lawsuit against Georgia. The judge ultimately found that Georgia’s election practices did not suppress black voters, but Abrams continued to push her false narrative.
Despite Abrams’ baseless claims and refusal to accept the results, she was celebrated by the Democrat Party and the mainstream media as a champion for “fair elections.” The stolen-election conspiracy theorist even garnered praise as a potential vice presidential candidate in the 2020 election.
But Abrams’ losing streak didn’t stop her from profiting off her fraudulent-and-rigged elections narrative. She became a multi-millionaire through book tours, speeches, and fundraising off her claims of voter suppression. It’s clear that she set the playbook for crying foul, filing lawsuits, and profiting off conspiracy theories about voter fraud.
Meanwhile, Trump and his associates are facing a litany of charges for seemingly innocuous actions. The indictment refers to activities such as encouraging voters to watch televised broadcasts and reserving rooms at the state Capitol. These charges are flimsy at best and appear to be part of a broader effort to silence and punish conservatives.
It’s clear that there is a double standard when it comes to the treatment of conservatives and liberals in the justice system. While Abrams is celebrated as a hero, Trump is facing 13 felony charges for actions that pale in comparison to her attempts to undermine the democratic process.
This indictment against Trump only further highlights the need for conservatives to stand strong and fight back against the biased and politically motivated attacks on our leaders. We must not allow our justice system to be used as a weapon against those who dare to question the status quo. The fight for true fairness and justice is far from over, and we must not back down.
