For all the fanfare surrounding her announcement, supporters hoping for concrete policy positions may need to temper their excitement. Instead, they’ll be treated to a biography and links to merchandise, but with no indication of what Harris actually plans to do.
Harris’s website showcases a “take action” tab inviting supporters to add their names to an ever-growing list of disappointed Democrats, along with a store for campaign swag, and a shiny “donate” button—perfect for funding more vague aspirations. However, actual policies are noticeably absent, prompting many to wonder whether she’s running for president or just a state fair’s most forgettable booth.

This parody serves as a biting reminder, highlighting a past filled with support for far-left initiatives like the “Green New Deal” and an open-border policy that would make even the most casual traveler raise an eyebrow.
Despite the crickets chirping on her website, Harris can rely on the Democratic Party platform—recently passed without a single amendment at the Democratic National Convention—as a safety net. However, this is more of a warm blanket of ambiguity than a robust shield of ideas, as the platform embraces the Biden administration’s policies without once mentioning Harris by name.
