Harvard University was quick to shut down some anti-Semitic nonsense being spread around by pro-Palestine groups, according to The Harvard Crimson. The university made it crystal clear that there’s no room for that kind of hateful garbage within the Ivy League walls. Bravo to Harvard for taking a stand against such filth!
The culprits behind the offensive post were the Harvard Undergraduate Palestine Solidarity Committee and the African and African American Resistance Organization, with a little help from their buddy group Harvard Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine (Harvard FSJP). Shame on them for peddling such ugly stereotypes and attacking a whole group of people based on their beliefs.

One brave Harvard student, Shabbos Kestenbaum, called out these groups for their disgusting antics. Kestenbaum even took it a step further by highlighting the anti-Semitic imagery these groups were shamelessly promoting. Good for him for standing up and speaking out against this kind of hatred.
Rabbi David Wolpe, who used to help Harvard with their antisemitism advisory committee, was rightly appalled by the insensitive cartoon. It’s important for influential figures like Rabbi Wolpe to call out bigotry when they see it, and this was a perfect example of when to do just that.
Even the House of Representatives got wind of this whole mess and condemned the anti-Semitic post. The House Committee on Education & the Workforce didn’t hold back in expressing their disgust. It’s about time these groups are held accountable for their harmful actions and attitudes.
In the end, Harvard FSJP apologized for their mistake and removed the offensive image. It’s a good start, but let’s hope they’ve truly learned their lesson and won’t be spreading any more hate-filled propaganda in the future. Keep it classy, Harvard – leave the bigotry at the door!
