Hezbollah, a militant group based in Lebanon, is said to have shown off its anti-ship missiles in a film that was meant to warn US warships in the Middle East. The video came out soon after the US Gerard Ford Carrier Group landed in the Mediterranean Sea, close to Israel. However, its authenticity has not yet been proven. Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, is said to have Russian anti-ship weapons, which makes people worried about possible threats to US warships and carriers in the area.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, recently sent a threat to American warships, thinking that things would get much worse on the border between Israel and Lebanon. Nasrallah called Hamas's latest attack on Israel a "glorious jihadi operation" that hurt the Jewish state very much. He said that Hezbollah is ready to face US warships and the dangers they pose.
Reports say that since 2006, Hezbollah has made big improvements in its ability to attack ships. The group has never said for sure that it has Yakhont rockets, but it is thought to have gotten them from Syria. The Wall Street Journal revealed in 2014 that Syria sent advanced guided missiles to Hezbollah. US officials think the group may have as many as 12 anti-ship missile systems.
These events have made people worry about Israel's ability to defend itself. The Russian-made Yakhont anti-ship missile is a powerful weapon that can be fired from a variety of platforms and uses radar and satellites to find its target. If Hezbollah really does have these weapons, they pose a serious threat to US ships that are within range of them.
As things get worse in the Middle East, the US needs to take these risks very seriously and keep an eye on its warships to make sure they are safe.
