A high school senior is not having it with Fairfax County Public Schools! She’s not about sharing restrooms and locker rooms with biologically male students who identify as transgender. That’s right, she’s suing the school district because she’s had enough of feeling unsafe and uncomfortable.

The lawsuit, filed by America First Legal, argues that the school district’s policy violates her safety and religious liberty. She’s not a fan of being forced to use “preferred pronouns” that make her feel like she’s lying about the biological reality of sex. And who can blame her? It’s like being forced to call a cat a dog – it just doesn’t sit right.
The student, who is remaining anonymous in the lawsuit, is a Catholic and has been dealing with this nonsense since the third grade. She’s not buying into the school district’s policy that puts transgender students’ interests above everyone else’s. She’s not feeling the burden of accommodating students of the opposite biological sex and is saying, “Enough is enough!”
The lawsuit also points out that Fairfax County Public Schools defied policies from Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s office, which had aimed to stick up for parental rights and require students to use facilities based on their biological sex. But it seems like the school district is playing by its own rules, and this high school senior isn’t having it.
Not only is she dealing with restroom woes, but she’s also being forced to make statements about the nature of sex that go against her religious and philosophical beliefs. It’s like the school district is trying to push its agenda onto her, and she’s saying, “No way!”
The student’s mom tried to stand up to the school district by saying her daughter wouldn’t take the test or sign the form that goes against their religious beliefs, but they were told there was no way out of it. Talk about feeling cornered!
America First Legal’s senior adviser, Ian Prior, isn’t holding back either, saying it’s about time for the school district to stop trampling on its students’ constitutional rights. And he’s right – it’s time for the school district to play fair and respect everyone’s beliefs.
Now, it’s up to the courts to decide if this high school senior gets the justice she’s looking for. Fairfax County Public Schools didn’t have much to say about the lawsuit, but the student and her advocates are ready to fight for what they believe in. Let’s see how this battle plays out!
