House Judiciary Subcommittee Tackles Biden-Harris Border Crisis and Noncitizen Voting

The House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government will convene to tackle a pressing issue dubbed “The Biden-Harris Border Crisis: Noncitizen Voting.” The timing of this hearing couldn’t be better, coming right after the House’s August recess. Republicans are eager to address the catastrophe unfolding at the southern border, which many feel the Biden-Harris administration has mishandled spectacularly. Reducing the possibility of noncitizen voting is also front and center on the Republican agenda, because as it turns out, only actual American citizens should be participating in American elections.

The Subcommittee will welcome a star-studded cast of witnesses, including Florida Secretary of State Cord Byrd, Immigration Accountability Project Policy Director Rosemary Jenks, and Cleta Mitchell, who established the Foundation for Accountability and Integrity in Elections Fund. These individuals are not shy about discussing the chaos stemming from the current administration’s policies and are ready to provide insights and solutions that the Democrats would rather ignore.

Representative Jim Jordan, the esteemed GOP chair of the House Judiciary Committee, has voiced support for the hearing, emphasizing that only American citizens should have the right to cast their votes. This concept seems to be a no-brainer for rational folks, yet somehow it triggers a meltdown among the Democrats, who can’t seem to grasp the logic. One might ponder if they truly believe in the integrity of our elections.

Leading the hearing is Subcommittee Chairman Chip Roy from Texas, who has been on a mission to highlight the real-world impacts of the ongoing border crisis. He pointed out an alarming incident that occurred only 30 miles from the U.S. Capitol, where a young girl was abducted by a man masquerading as a law enforcement officer. Such incidents underline the urgency and necessity of tightening border controls, rather than indulging in liberal fantasies of open borders and lax immigration policies. Chip Roy is also promoting his “America Invaded” report, a detailed look into the chaos unleashed by the Biden-Harris administration on the southern border.

In July, the House passed the SAVE Act, pushed forward by Roy, aimed at requiring proof of U.S. citizenship for voting in federal elections. However, Senate Democrats seem disinterested in this vital legislation and have no plans to advance it. The Biden-Harris administration is vehemently opposed, making it crystal clear where they stand on maintaining the integrity of American elections. Rumor has it that House Speaker Mike Johnson is contemplating attaching the SAVE Act to a short-term spending bill, which could stir up some excitement and resistance in the Senate.

Recently, some progress has been made with non-citizens being removed from voter rolls in states that value election integrity, such as Virginia, Texas, and Ohio. Chip Roy has highlighted that Democrats are avoiding a discussion on this crucial matter, lazily claiming it isn’t necessary. Meanwhile, shocking incidents keep surfacing, like the recent arrest of an illegal immigrant from Guatemala who registered to vote by pretending to be a U.S. citizen. This just reinforces the position that voter integrity is not just a talking point, it’s a pressing issue that demands serious attention from those in power.
