House Passes $900 Billion Defense Bill While America’s Safety Takes a Backseat to Bureaucracy

The House of Representatives has just passed the behemoth 2026 National Defense Authorization Act, a bill weighed down by over 3,000 pages of bureaucracy and progressive wish lists. Weighing in at a staggering $900 billion, this bill is less a step forward for our national security and more a testament to the bipartisan failure that plagues Washington. With a vote tally of 312-112, it is clear that both parties are out of touch with the American people’s desire for a strong military and fiscal responsibility.

The fact that nearly 100 Democrats and 18 Republicans dared to oppose this bill highlights the growing divide between those who truly care about America’s safety and those who are more concerned with appeasing special interests and globalists. When will these politicians wake up and realize that the American people want a robust defense system without all the fluff designed to cater to political correctness? It’s disheartening to see so-called conservatives siding with leftist ideals instead of backing a strong national defense.

Sure, the bill includes some language to ensure transparency in military actions, specifically around the Pentagon’s strikes against terrorists. But let’s not pretend this makes it a win for the Patriots. What good is transparency if the underlying spending and military posture are weakened by political maneuvering? Requiring “unedited video” of operations does not substitute for the real challenge facing our armed forces: competing against global threats while managing reckless spending.

What has the Biden administration done to secure our borders or reinforce our military prowess? They’ve pushed their progressive agenda while the world grows more dangerous by the day. The globalists are loose, undermining our national interests, and this bill dances to their tune. Republicans must stop falling for the trap of bipartisan compromise that sacrifices our military might for political favor. Passing bloated, ineffective budgets isn’t the answer; prioritizing America’s strength is.

We need leaders willing to stand firm and say Enough is enough! Are we going to allow our national defense to be compromised just to appear moderate? Or will we demand that our representatives take a hard line against the liberal agenda that threatens our way of life? The time for empty gestures has passed. America demands real action, not smoke and mirrors from Washington. The questions we should be asking are: who’s really looking out for our nation, and when will we stand up against a system that puts special interests ahead of American values?
