Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a strong conservative Republican from Alaska, is urging parents to be terrified by the possibility of COVID-19 mandates making a comeback in the wake of a new virus variant. In solidarity with other Republican governors, Sanders is determined that Arkansas will not be reinstating mask mandates or closing schools.
Sanders expressed her concern during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News. She emphasized the negative impact that previous closures and mask mandates had on children’s growth and achievements in schools. She finds it absurd that liberal activists are even discussing the reimposition of these measures and assures the people of Arkansas that it will not happen in their state.

Sanders proudly announces that Arkansas stands as a “90-10” state in favor of rejecting COVID-19 mandates. Although the Biden administration has not called for the reinstatement of these mandates, several conservative leaders have preemptively declared that they will not implement any mandates in their states.
Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida shares the same sentiment as Sanders. He staunchly affirms that COVID-19-related mask mandates will never return to the state of Florida, asserting the importance of “freedom” during a press conference. In his words, mandates, lockdowns, and fines are simply ineffective and will not be imposed in his state. As fellow conservatives unite against mandates, it becomes even more clear that these measures are unnecessary and burdensome.
