Hunter Biden Escapes Justice, US Attorney Cries Poor

In a surprising twist, the U.S. attorney for the Central District of California, Martin Estrada, has declined to assist investigators in prosecuting Hunter Biden for alleged tax fraud. The reason cited for this unexpected decision? Limited resources. It appears that Estrada's office was grappling with a shortage of manpower, making it difficult to pursue one of the most high-profile cases in recent memory.

House investigators expressed their skepticism about Estrada's decision, considering the prominent status of Hunter Biden as the son of the President. However, Estrada proposed an alternative solution – offering administrative support and office space to Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss to pursue charges against Hunter Biden in California. This offer was seen by some as a generous gesture.

The question arises as to why Estrada's office found itself stretched thin in the first place. According to Estrada, his team was inundated with an overwhelming caseload, a significant portion of which involved cases related to the dangerous drug, fentanyl. At the time, only 40 assistant U.S. attorneys were handling these responsibilities, making it challenging to tackle the Hunter Biden tax fraud case effectively.

When pressed for more details, Estrada declined to provide investigators with specific insights into the recommendations made by his assistant U.S. attorneys, who had advised against collaborating with Weiss on charging Hunter Biden. Instead, he provided a general explanation of how his office evaluates cases, referring to the Justice Manual guidelines, lending an air of official bureaucratic protocol to the situation.

Notably, Estrada was not the sole U.S. attorney who chose not to partner with Weiss in the Hunter Biden case. U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves, a former advisor to the Biden campaign, also declined to participate. Critics argue that these decisions may have been made to shield the Bidens from a case that could have unearthed evidence of influence peddling during Joe Biden's tenure as Vice President.

The outcome regarding potential charges against Hunter Biden remains uncertain. The statute of limitations has already expired in both California and Washington cases, and Weiss has only pursued federal gun charges against him. As a result, it remains unclear whether the Bidens will face any legal repercussions in this ongoing saga. Stay tuned for updates on this evolving story.
