President Joe Biden has denied any involvement in his son’s business activities, but allegations are fueled by evidence and whistleblowers’ accusations, including claims that the Department of Justice (DOJ) intervened in the Hunter Biden investigation. The whistleblowers alleged unwarranted delays, a lack of openness, and threats from the Defense Counsel.

Congressman Jason Smith (R-MO) reported that U.S. Attorney David Weiss was not permitted to bring charges against Hunter Biden in 2022 and 2023 due to DOJ meddling and overreaching in the investigation. The investigators faced complications concerning a lack of independence of the U.S. Attorney, unusual activities beyond the regular scope of any investigation, and transparency deficits.
Furthermore, the Defense Council threatened to “delay, divulge, and deny” the investigation, and Hunter Biden’s lawyers were notified before investigators searched a Northern Virginia storage unit where Hunter had kept his files. The whistleblowers testified to a lack of U.S. Attorney independence and unusual activities beyond any investigation’s regular scope.
