Hunter Biden’s Plea Deal: Tax Charges & Felony But Free?

After years of waiting, the US Department of Justice reached a plea agreement regarding the charges against Hunter Biden. He was charged with various offenses, including felony firearm possession and two misdemeanor tax offenses.

Between 2017 and 2018, former Delaware Attorney General Hunter Biden reportedly earned over $1.5 million annually. Despite owing over $100,000 in taxes each year, he failed to pay his taxes. Moreover, in 2018, he was able to keep a firearm despite being an illegal user of illicit substances.

The investigation is still ongoing, which means that some people believe that they can continue to avoid commenting on the evidence or turning it over to Congress.

After Christopher Clark, Hunter Biden's lawyer, announced that his client had pleaded guilty, it was revealed that Congress would be asking a lot of questions about the US Attorney in Delaware. Clark stated that he expected that his client would be released without conditions.

It is infuriating that Clark would claim that he did not recall being asked about the laptop of his client, despite the details contained in it being related to the charges. Congress should investigate why the FBI would not examine the device, and if anyone was involved in the investigation.

Clark was also asked about the allegations regarding the alleged influence peddling on his client's laptop. He claimed that there was no proof of any violation, and he noted that the information was stolen.

It's time for the Republican members of Congress to ask the FBI about the details of the laptop that was used by Hunter Biden. They should also question if anyone in the agency is investigating the matter.
