ICE Cracks Down in Sanctuary County, Nabs Criminals

Well, well, well, it looks like Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) finally got to do their job in Montgomery County, Maryland after those sanctuary policies got the boot. The county executives finally saw the light and decided to start cooperating with ICE, leading to the agency making its first detentions there. And let me tell you, it’s about time!

ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) division didn’t waste any time nabbing two foreign nationals with criminal records, both charged with sexually abusing Maryland minors. Good riddance! These are exactly the kind of dangerous criminals we do not need wandering around our communities.

It’s a shame that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas wants to tie ICE’s hands with his weak memo limiting immigration enforcement. We should be focused on national security and public safety, not coddling illegal immigrants who have broken the law. The fact that Mayorkas wants to protect these lawbreakers is just mind-boggling.

But kudos to ERO Baltimore for stepping up and doing the job they were meant to do. These brave men and women are working hard to keep our communities safe, and we should be thanking them instead of criticizing their every move. Keep up the good work, ICE! We need more of these detentions to rid our streets of criminals.
