In a long overdue move, the House Committee on Homeland Security has finally started impeachment proceedings against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. And let’s be honest, folks, it’s about damn time.
The border crisis that our great nation is currently facing is at a critical level. And when you think things couldn’t get any worse, they always do. It’s like the universe has a sick sense of humor. But we can’t just sit back and watch our border crumble under the weight of illegal immigration. Someone needs to be held accountable, and that someone is Secretary Mayorkas.

Under the leadership of Chairman Mark E. Green, MD, the hearing that initiated these impeachment proceedings evaluated the devastating impacts of this border crisis on states throughout the heartland. Secretary Mayorkas’ refusal to enforce our immigration laws, passed by Congress and interpreted by the federal Judiciary, has only fueled and prolonged this crisis.
This decision by the House Committee on Homeland Security comes after nearly a year of investigating the causes, costs, and consequences of this unprecedented crisis. They’ve heard testimony from top legal experts and state attorneys general who have witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of Secretary Mayorkas’ actions.
Let’s not forget that just a few days ago, Speaker Mike Johnson and more than 60 House Republicans took a tour of the southern border to see the situation for themselves. And what they saw was nothing short of a disaster.
This isn’t about politics, folks. It’s about upholding the law. The Biden Administration has been turning a blind eye to illegal immigration since day one. Our country is being overrun, our schools are being overwhelmed, and now they want $20 billion to house illegal aliens. And let’s not forget, we’re already $34 trillion in debt!
What’s even more concerning is the fact that the majority of these illegal immigrants are young, fit, military-aged men. And the Biden administration doesn’t seem to care who they are, where they come from, or what their intentions are. That’s not how we protect our borders, folks.
So, holding Secretary Mayorkas accountable is a good start, but we need to do more. We need to hold the Democrats accountable at the ballot box this November. Only then can we bring about real change and secure our border once and for all.
