Just recently, there was a lively exchange between two well-known figures – a popular conservative YouTuber, let’s say he’s the “Rightwing Ranger”, and a left-leaning comedian, “Hulk Hilarity”. Watching them go back and forth was like witnessing two old pals argue over who makes the better backyard barbecue – one is fiery and intense while the other serves up the sweet sauce but brings the heat in a different way.
So, they’re sitting there talking about politics, and wouldn’t you know it, things got personal. The entire conversation devolved into race rather quickly, making it feel like a race track where everyone was speeding to a finish line that nobody could actually see. Rightwing Ranger was trying to unpack some serious points about blanket statements and stereotypes, while Hulk Hilarity just couldn’t seem to get past the punchline of race in America.
