The resurfacing of a translated clip in which Omar allegedly declared, “I am here to protect the interests of Somalia from inside the US system,” only deepens concerns about divided loyalties and the priorities of an elected official sworn to the Constitution. Omar says translations are wrong; that claim deserves verification, not dismissal.
