The left-wing media is frothing at the mouth once again, thanks to the Smithsonian Museum’s decision to momentarily remove mention of President Trump’s impeachment proceedings from a historical exhibit. The cries of foul play and claims of Presidential influence-peddling are nothing but a desperate attempt from the Democrats to cling to a narrative nobody’s buying.
Democrats are falling over themselves to accuse Trump of rewriting history just because a temporary placard didn’t fit the snooty aesthetic standards of a museum exhibit. The Smithsonian made it clear—loud and clear—that no White House official demanded the removal of the exhibit content. Yet, the liberal elite insists on weaving their tales of presidential conspiracies.
And leading the charge in this hysteria is California Governor Gavin Newsom and his office. Accusations of censorship? Give us a break. Social media users were rightly armed and ready, pointing out Newsom’s audacity and hypocrisy—something this governor is no stranger to. Let’s not forget the financial misadventures he’s brought upon Californians by diverting much-needed relief funds to other pet projects.
While Newsom tries to distract the public with baseless claims, real Americans see through the charade. The Smithsonian has promised to update its exhibit to include a full account of all impeachment proceedings, sending Democrats into a frenzy. Why? Because they’d rather the country dwell on partisan witch hunts than address real issues.
One must ask, what are liberals afraid of? A complete telling of history, or admitting they’ve wasted time chasing ghosts? It’s time to stop the theatrics and focus on building a stronger America, something this country can’t do if it’s constantly stuck in the rearview mirror, whining about a placard for goodness’ sake.
