In the latest chapter of what seems like the longest political drama spectacle in recent history, Democrats are back at it again with their January 6th obsession. They are still clutching their pearls and shedding crocodile tears over what they insist was the darkest day in democracy. At this point, you can only imagine they’ve got a closet full of scented candles exclusively for these events—candlelight vigils to preserve what they claim to be the truth. But who was really the victim that day? The narrative gets murky when the only confirmed fatality due to violence was Ashley Babbitt, an unarmed woman shot by Capitol police.
Now, let’s talk about the so-called heroes of this narrative. Enter Michael Fanone, the corporate media’s darling cop of January 6th. This poster child of supposed valor may have gotten more screen time than some Hollywood stars lately, but his recent antics suggest he’s auditioning for a different kind of role. Captured on video, Mr. Fanone—a man who sports a neck tattoo that raises more questions than trust—is seen having a bit of a meltdown, verbally jousting with a Capitol Hill heckler. It’s one for the history books, or at least for the highlight reels of YouTube.
The irony is thicker than Washington’s infamous summer humidity. Here is a man who was propped up as the epitome of law and order, now caught losing his cool and needing intervention from other officers. Fanone apparently can’t handle being called out, triggering a barrage of threats and a spectacle fit for reality TV. It begs the question: if this is how the “celebrated” maintain decorum, what else might have unfolded on the much-disputed day of January 6th?
Meanwhile, the Democrats cling to their narrative like a squirrel with its last acorn before winter. They hold congressional hearings, interviews, and now even afterparties with a side of candlelight, all to convince the public that January 6th was orchestrated by Donald Trump himself. Yet, as they lay pearls before swine, the footage starts rolling, showing scenes that look more like misplaced tourists lining up for a museum tour than rioters on a rampage.
The Democrats’ cherished story keeps unraveling. From questionable security footage showing surprisingly docile crowds to accusations of misleading testimonies by officers like Fanone, much of what they sold has come back to bite them. If the supposed “insurrection” had so many conveniently omitted facts, one can’t help but wonder what other truths are tucked away, waiting to be unearthed. Indeed, those with the most to hide tend to have the loudest displays when the jig is up. As this spectacle continues, the so-called authoritative voices of January 6th are looking more like a comedy of errors, and they deserve every bit of the mockery that comes their way.
