Well, folks, it looks like Hollywood’s leftist elite can’t help themselves. Jack Black’s rock-comedy act, Tenacious D, is once again making headlines—but this time, it’s not for their music. Comedian and actor Jack Black decided to pull the plug on his tour after his bandmate, Kyle Gass, couldn’t resist making a despicable comment aimed at former President Donald Trump during a performance.
Picture this: In the land Down Under, while performing in Sydney, Jack Black decided to add a little cheer with a birthday cake for his buddy Gass. But instead of a simple “happy birthday,” Gass took the opportunity to spew some venom. He made a tasteless “birthday wish” that they wouldn’t miss Trump next time. This outburst of classless behavior followed an assassination attempt on Trump just a day before.

Jack Black has since taken to Instagram, claiming he would never condone such “hate speech.” After much soul-searching, he decided it’s best to cancel the remainder of the Tenacious D tour and put all future projects on hold. What a noble retreat! Gass, who probably realized his career was now perched precariously on the edge of oblivion, also issued a statement. He called his stunt a “terrible mistake” and the attempt on Trump’s life a “tragedy.”
But wait, there’s more! Australian Senator Ralph Babet called out Tenacious D for their outrageous behavior, demanding they be deported immediately. He drew a stark contrast between Australia’s decision to detain and deport Novak Djokovic over a vaccine stance versus allowing a band that wishes death upon a President to remain. Senator Babet isn’t mincing words, and he challenged Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to join him in denouncing this vile rhetoric. Seems like someone in Australia still has a spine.
Meanwhile, let’s not forget Jack Black’s love affair with the Biden administration. Just last month, he was rubbing elbows with George Clooney at a fundraiser for Biden’s campaign. He’s been all in on social media, championing Biden and even cozying up to the Biden-Harris HQ. However, Clooney himself has since rescinded his support, suggesting Biden shouldn’t seek a second term after a lackluster debate performance. Looks like the liberal celebrities are even turning on each other now.
Once again, the liberal hypocrisy is on full display. When their idols spew dangerous rhetoric, it’s brushed off as a “mistake.” Yet, they were the first to throw stones at any conservative who dared step out of line. Maybe it’s time these Hollywood elitists take a long look in the mirror and start practicing the accountability they preach.
