James Comey’s reckless behavior just crossed a dangerous line, and it’s about time someone actually holds him accountable. The former FBI director posted a cryptic “86 47” message on social media—a phrase that many correctly read as a veiled call for violence against President Trump. Instead of apologizing sincerely, Comey deleted the post only after public outcry, pretending he didn’t know the dark meaning behind those numbers. This is no accident or innocent mistake. Comey is a political hack with a long history of undermining this country, and now he’s openly flirting with inciting violence against a sitting president.
Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley rightly demanded an investigation into Comey’s dangerous stunt. It’s baffling that after everything we’ve seen from Comey, some still treat him like a respected ex-official instead of the political extremist that he is. Meanwhile, discredited figures on the left are tiptoeing around the truth, calling for anything less than swift justice. Even Tulsi Gabbard, standing on good sense, says this man belongs behind bars. That is where Comey should be—alongside other corrupt elites who threaten American democracy and safety on a consistent basis.

Of course, this scandal exposes a deeper rot in the liberal establishment. The same people who turned a blind eye to bias and misconduct within the FBI are now pretending to be outraged that Comey’s post was “misinterpreted.” It wasn’t misinterpreted. The meaning was crystal clear. To brush this off as “originated in restaurants” or some vague slang is a classic attempt by the left to deflect responsibility and shield their own. At the same time, our current FBI director confirmed the agency is involved. The Secret Service is investigating, too. This isn’t a joke or a childish tantrum—it’s a legitimate threat from a powerful figure who should be held to the highest standard.
What’s truly infuriating is the deadly double standard. When conservatives express strong opinions, liberals scream “violence” and “threats” at the top of their lungs, calling for swift punishments and censorship. But when a disgraced former FBI boss makes statements that could endanger a president’s life, suddenly it’s brushed aside as a “political message” or a poor choice of words. This is the hypocrisy of the left writ large: dangerous rhetoric and desecration of institutions when aimed at conservatives gets a free pass, while the right is framed as violent extremists for speaking their truth. America deserves better than this two-faced lawlessness.
James Comey’s antics are a clear signal of the lawlessness and hatred festering within the left-wing elite. The time for talk is over. Investigate Comey thoroughly. If there is evidence that he recklessly or deliberately threatened the president, prosecute him like any other criminal. No one is above the law—not former FBI directors, not liberal icons. If America lets this slide, what message does that send to anyone who dares to undermine our democracy or threaten our leaders? It’s simple: Stop the madness before it’s too late. The nation’s safety depends on it.
