Vice President JD Vance has announced a brand-new DOJ division headed by an Assistant Attorney General tasked with cracking down on widespread theft of federal programs. The first battleground? Minnesota—where fraud has blossomed under the watchful eye of liberal politicians who refuse to confront the ugly truth about who is ripping off hardworking Americans.
For far too long, Democrat-run states have turned a blind eye—or worse, enabled—massive fraud schemes in federal childcare, Medicaid, and other assistance programs. Minnesota’s Somali immigrant community has been at the center of this scandal, with nearly 100 fraud defendants charged, most of whom are of Somali descent. This isn’t random or isolated; it’s a systemic parasite feeding off taxpayers’ wallets in blue states from Minnesota to California to Illinois. And yet, left-wing governors and their cronies pretend it’s all just “bad luck” or “misunderstandings,” while everyday American families struggle to afford the basics.
JD Vance isn’t mincing words, calling out the Minnesota governor, Tim Walz, for enabling, if not outright participating in, the fraud. This is exactly the kind of accountability we haven’t seen from corrupt Democratic leadership. Walz and his ilk have ignored the moral duty to protect American citizens’ access to daycare and family programs by letting illegal aliens and fraudsters steal billions. Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security has deployed thousands of agents to root out the criminals, arresting over a thousand illegal aliens who have been gaming the system. Why are it always blue states that turn a blind eye to such blatant criminality?

This isn’t just fraud; it’s a liberal racket exploiting federal generosity while turning a cold shoulder to law-abiding taxpayers. The freeze on $10 billion in childcare funding to these states is a painful but necessary hammer to stop the bleeding. Families deserve honest government, not grifters cashing in on the back of American dreams.
What’s clear is that this fight won’t end in Minnesota. Anywhere Democrats run statehouses, fraud festers, backed by political leadership that prioritizes globalist open-borders ideology over American citizens’ welfare.
