In a typical display of Democratic grandstanding and partisan posturing, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) took to the podium for his weekly press conference. As if on cue, the self-proclaimed leader of the liberal “Resistance” delivered his usual predictable tirade against Republicans.

With an air of self-importance that only a politician could possess, Jeffries railed against the Trump administration’s immigration policies. Ignoring the fact that illegal immigration poses a real threat to the safety and security of American citizens, the Democratic leader chose to push his party’s open borders agenda.
And what would a Democratic press conference be without a healthy dose of virtue signaling? Jeffries, always eager to signal his support for far-left causes, spoke passionately about the need to address income inequality and climate change. Not a word was said, however, about the disastrous consequences of socialist policies or the economic burdens they place on hardworking Americans.
As the press conference came to a close, it became glaringly obvious that Jeffries is simply another cog in the radical Democratic machine. With his empty promises and lack of substantive solutions, it’s clear that he’s more interested in scoring political points than actually serving the American people. But hey, at least he knows how to put on a good show for the cameras.
