In a slightly concerning turn of events, First Lady Jill Biden took it upon herself to welcome the White House Christmas tree without her husband, President Joe Biden, by her side. This begs the question once again: Is Biden fit for office? It’s not a good look when the first lady is left to handle the traditional tree arrival on her own.
Mrs. Biden, according to The Hill, “admired the tree while it was lying in a horse-drawn wagon” and engaged in small talk with the group of military children who were present. The children were reportedly amazed by the size of the tree, with some saying they had never seen one so big. It’s heartwarming to see the joy a Christmas tree can bring, especially in the eyes of innocent children.
But while the first lady was spreading her holiday cheer, President Biden was celebrating his 81st birthday. A photo was released by his staff showing him standing in front of a birthday cake. However, this image drew criticism from conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, who called it “one of the worst campaign blunders I have ever seen.” Shapiro pointed out Biden’s grip on the table and his forced smile, painting a picture of uncertainty and unease.
Adding to these concerns are the results of a recent poll. According to a Yahoo News/YouGov poll, a majority of Americans, 54% to be exact, doubt Biden’s “competence to carry out the job of president.” Additionally, 64% expressed some level of concern regarding Biden’s “health and mental acuity.” These numbers speak volumes and should not be brushed aside.
It’s crucial to have a president who is physically and mentally fit for the demanding role. The American people deserve someone who can lead with vigor and clarity. With doubts and concerns lingering, it’s time for the Biden administration to address these issues head-on and provide reassurance to the American people.
